I am NOT all about that bass.

First off let me introduce my self. I am a regular teenage girl, with a lot to say. I have been wanting to do a blog for a few months but didnt think i could sum up everything i needed to say in a few paragraphs. I feel like what is going on now a days, its a perfect time to start a blog.

I know at one point in time we have all heared the song ” All about that bass” by Meghan Trainor. You might have even just started singing it. To be honest , I am a victim of constantly sing that song. After the million time of singing it i thought ” What am i actually singing?”

Yeah, it’s pretty clear, I ain’t no size two
But I can shake it, shake it
Like I’m supposed to do
‘Cause I got that boom boom that all the boys chase
And all the right junk in all the right places

That's her, the blond one in the middle.

Okay, so, yeah. Maybe not a size two. But not fat or “plus-size” by any means. Don’t let the unflattering dress trick your eye. This girl is not a fat girl. This whole concept of not-fat women believing they need to call attention to their not-fat bodies in order to promote body acceptance is something i dont comprehend. I call this the “fatcceptable movement.” Notice I didn’t say “fat acceptance movement” or “body acceptance movement.”The fatcceptable movement shows that there is only one type of “real” woman, and any outliers are less sexually attractive to men. You have probley offton heard the slogon ” Real women have cerves”

“I’m bringing booty back/Go ahead and tell them skinny b****s that/No I’m just playing I know you think you’re fat/but I’m here to tell ya every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top”

This verse perfectly shows what is wrong with this song. What could be a positive message comes out as a backhanded compliment. Sure, every inch of you is perfect no matter what, but this message is great to make plus sized women to make you feel good about your self. Its is also great at mocking the appearance of very slim girls.

On a very serious note, today’s society Shows that if you are not 90 pounds. You are not perfect. Period. I could also not disagree anymore.I am gonna leave you with this.

Songs of Solomon 4:7- You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you
